Macula Vision Research Foundation (MVRF) is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on curing blindness by funding visionary research.  MVRF provides funding to leading scientists researching treatments for retinal diseases, including macular degeneration and congenital childhood blindness.

Fearless funders of innovative research, one MVRF-funded study found the only known treatment for Leber’s Congenital Amaurosis, a genetic form of childhood blindness - MVRF is curing blindness, one research study at a time!

MVRF has granted $16.5 million over the last decade and 2012 research grants  have been increased by 25%!

MVRF is unique in that every donation goes directly to research.  The Karen and Herb Lotman Foundation pays ALL expenses for Macula Vision Research Foundation (including administrative and fundraising expenses).

More than 10 MILLION PEOPLE in the United States alone suffer from macular degeneration. 

By 2020, nearly 20 MILLION PEOPLE will be living with the disease, due to the aging population (primarily baby-boomers).
